Safety Net – Keeping children safe online

Live Parent/Carer Webinar

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – This is a virtual 60-minute course. Once you have registered for a place, you will receive a confirmation email which will contain your unique joining link.

Aim:

Many parents and carers worry about what their children are doing online. The Safety Net Parental Webinar Programme provides parents and carers with the support and resources to engage their children and help keep them safe online.

The training webinar aims to raise awareness of the unseen dangers and embeds the understanding needed to help young people stay safe when they are using the Internet, social media and playing online games.

To get the most from the session, we recommend having a copy of our award-winning, fun and colourful Safety Net parental engagement resource. It’s packed with crosswords, word searches, and talking points to help you start important conversations at home about staying safe online.

Please note: While the session is open to everyone, the number of printed resources is limited. These are being distributed by the school, so we kindly encourage you to register as soon as possible to help secure a copy in advance of the session.

“Our school is in a financially deprived area and budgets are currently difficult. The ‘Train the Trainer’ session has allowed me and the school to communicate vital important issues that are affecting our children to parents with ease in a way that is relevant and contextual to our school.”
